Bayou Bowl blues

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of northwest Louisiana flavor to the Bayou Bowl's Louisiana roster.

The game between the Louisiana and Texas all-star football teams will be played on Saturday at Stallworth Stadium in Baytown, Texas.

Ruston quarterback Ben Alsup, Evangel cornerback Pat Chitman and Ruston offensive guard Justin Frasier look like it for the area in this year's game.

I know it was a down year for northwest Louisiana but, man, that doesn't look good.

I'm going to guess that Texas wins this one because last year wasn't a stellar year in the state for prep football.
