Lady Cowboys are a dynamite team

The Southwood girls basketball team are one heck of a basketball team. The job Steve McDowell has done with the program is beyond astounding. The players come and go, but the Lady Cowboys will be there contending for a state championship annually.

After watching them dismantle Lafayette on Monday, they should be right there again contending for another one.

The Lady Cowboys move the ball better than most boys teams do. Lafayette was like a dog chasing its tail as it tried to catch up with Southwood and its ball movement.

Plus, Southwood is so balanced. If it's not someone burying a 3-pointer, then the offense's quickness creates mismatches underneath. I was amazed at how many times Southwood caught Lafayette out of position.
