Tough end for Arcadia

Maybe you didn't expect the Arcadia Hornets to win the Class 1A state championship, but it's likely you expected a better performance in the state semifinals.

I'm sure coach Shane Lee did as well.

The bottom line is Arcadia lost by 22, but it should be back next year.

What became apparent Monday is Kortney Roberson needs to develop some killer instinct. Roberson, who is being recruited by such schools as UCLA, was torn apart by a player he dominated in AAU ball.

He'll need to bring that same fire to the court every game next year if Arcadia wants to hoist the Class 1A state championship trophy.
