Byrd girls soccer gets good support from fans

The Byrd girls lost to Dutchtown 3-1 in the second round of the soccer playoffs Wednesday afternoon, but it certainly wasn't from a lack of support.

It was good to see the dozens of students, some even carrying posters with words of encouragement, in the stands at Independence Stadium.

Student support can make a big difference in any sport. At some of the basketball games I've convered this season, it seems there has been a lack of student support. The Southwood girls got a lot of it against West Monroe last week and it definitely helped.
