OK, Evangel lovers and Evangel haters. You have some new fodder.
Two BTW starters - quarterback Scrib Pipkins and wide receiver Eric Thomas - have transferred to Evangel. Thomas will likely be eligible since he lives in the Eagles' district. Pipkins may be eligible if his move is deemed for non-athletic purposes.
Some will say Evangel is recruiting again. Others will agree with Eagles coach Ronnie Alexander and ask what are they supposed to do when a player wants to go to their school?
I don't know the answer to this one. I know BTW is hurt by the losses of those two players. But I also know it's hard to turn a kid away when he comes to your school.
And I also know this - those that hate Evangel will say their recruiting. Those who love Evangel will say their giving those kids an education and a chance to play college ball.

And those that say they are giving them a chance to play college ball should help make the decision on just how much the move is for athletic purposes. Two inner city kids do not just up and decide to go to a private school to better themselves out of the blue. Someone had a hand in this. Might not be someone within the ECA official confines, but someone with the programs best interest at heart contacted these boys. You can cold hard lock that one.
