Big weekend for wrestlers

Area wrestlers had a big day Saturday in east Texas.

Benton won the East Texas Border Bash as four Tigers won their weight classes. Marcus Hudson was named outstanding wrestler in the upper weights after winning the 215-pound division.

Evangel's Matt Kimmbel won the lower weight class honor. The Eagles finished sixth in the event as they prepare to host their tournament this weekend. John Curtis is among the teams entered and they will square off with the Eagles in a dual match Thursday night on Broadacres Road.
